Pokemon Updates!

Pokemon is an extremely fun RPG game made for handheld gaming consoles like the Gameboy and Nintendo DS game system series. Created in 1996, the games were aimed at children around 10 years old. But, as the games continue to develop, more and more adults began to play it again for that nostalgic feel. I've played all of the main Pokemon games, except for a few, and I still continue to play them all. I have also played a few of the other Pokemon games made for systems, like Red Rescue Team, or mobile, like Shuffle or TCGO. Super Mystery Dungeon for the 3DS system has just come out and looks like a blast to play.

However, soon to appear is a game that has gamers and nerds in a craze internationally.

And now...Pokemon GO.

This live action Pokemon adventure made for your mobile devices is to be released sometime late this year. Interact with real people and battle with Pokemon that you catch while walking around outside, or "the wild". Travel the world to catch them all!

With beta testing coming to a close, everyone anticipating the game is gearing up and getting ready to take off and be a Pokemon master. When you come across a Pokemon near by, the app will send a notification, and you can go catch it. They have even made a special Bluetooth wristband that buzzes when a Pokemon is within catching range.

Not only have they come out with this new take on Pokemon, but they are releasing Pokemon Yellow, Red and Blue for digital download on the 3DS. Coming out in February, Nintendo has the games out for presale via Amazon.

Finally, but just as great as the others, Nintendo has also announced a re-release of the original 60 card deck as the 20th anniversary celebration. You can purchase these on February 27th.

That's all the nerd news I bring you tonight. Until another time.
